Mesfin Tefera Tessema is a seasoned professional with a distinguished career in the Ethiopian Logistics and Transport sector. He is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of Abay Logistics Plc.

Prior to Abay Logistics, Mesfin’s expertise was instrumental in various leadership roles. He served as Deputy CEO for the Freight Forwarding Sector and Acting CEO at Ethiopian Shipping and Logistics (ESL). Additionally, he was the Director General of Weyra Transport S.C.

Mesfin holds a Postgraduate degree in Business Leadership from the University of South Africa, School of Business Leadership (SBL) in May 2011, an Undergraduate Degree in Business Management from Addis Ababa University in 1990, Professional Management Diploma from Open Business School UK in 2000, Diploma in Law from Civil Service College in 2007. Moreover, he has various professional certifications from different institutes. He is a certified Trainer of FIATA diploma in Freight Forwarding and got his ToT certificate in March 2023 and also earned Ethiopian Management Professional competence certificate.

Mesfin Tefera participated in high-level cross-sectoral studies and experience sharing visits in neighboring and other countries, focusing on logistics and port operations.
